Internship

Every year we select up to 10 highly motivated individuals for internship at our offices. For graduate (bachelor) students we require a commitment of minimum 5-6 months. We also offer summer internships for Post-graduate (masters) students for 2 months. As an intern we make sure that you are exposed to all aspects of the practice including design, delivery, site visits, etc. As an intern you will be part of a project team. You will be involved in the same work as other team members, sharing the same facilities. Expect hard work but also respect and to be taken seriously.

For graduate internships starting in January, please submit your application by 30th November. For internships starting in July please submit your applications by 31st May.

Job Description:

As the successful candidate your responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Experience in working on conceptual design and design development of interior projects, produce space plans, furniture plans, ceiling plans, elevations, interior & millwork details and finished presentation documentation. Conduct and Lead client meetings/presentation as required during design and execution stages.Be responsible for conceptual design and design development, GFC of interior projects and ability to supervise and instrcut the project on site without compromising the design intent.Understand the business side of the profession, fee managment, be able to negotiate contracts, meet budgets and schedules, and provide a consistent and professional quality of service.Combination of on Site execution and varied Design experience of 12+ yearsExperience in reviewing and approval of Shop drawings, mock ups, materials, and finish samples, submittals approvals & relevant inter disciplinary coordination on site along with managing on site support staff.Review and manage pricing, materials and value engineering for projects.Work as part of the design team on larger building projects providing design and technical support.Be able to lead projects with minimal supervision, manage teams, coordinate consultants, and work directly with clients. outgoing, dynamic who is motivated to develop business, find new clientele, and deliver world class design work to corporate/ commercial clients

Education :

Equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture/ Interior Design

Your Capabilities and Credentials:

Degree or diploma in interior design or Architecture from an accredited program with a minimum of 10 years’ experience.Proven skills in the selection of FF&E, finishes, detailing and materials for projects such as corporate commercial, IT Hospitality, healthcare.Excellent organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills.Essential skills in space planning and conceptual design, as well as the ability to clearly present ideas to team members and clients.Confident in application of applicable building codes and ADA code compliance regulations.Excel at providing solutions to design problems and generate design alternatives.Proficient in Sketch-up and/or other similar modeling and presentation software. Ideally have a working knowledge of Revit, Microsoft Tools.
